Submit a pattern
You can submit a pattern to DuoApps: a layout problem on iPhone Duo, the rule that answers it, a demo or a sketch, and the sources and proof level of each line. The team reviews it, then publishes it under your name and under the same license as the rest of the site.
The pattern template
- The problem: what breaks on iPhone Duo when the app does nothing, in three lines, in a designer’s words.
- The rules: numbered lines, one sentence each, that can be cited on their own.
- The demo, or a sketch: a generic app, with no brand or logo; for a demo, a single control, like a pose selector or a width slider.
- The sources: for every line attributed to Apple, the exact public passage: the heading in the guidelines or the developer article, or the Tech Talk and the timecode where the passage starts.
- The proof level: on every line, Apple when Apple says it, Recommendation when the rule is yours, with what supports it at Apple or a note that nothing does.

Email your pattern to the team: contact@goodbarber.com. The published patterns show the tone and level of detail we expect.
Review and publication
The GoodBarber design team reviews every submission: the sources, the proof level of each line, the wording. It applies the rules of its own pages, including this one: nothing measured on prerelease tools (what we publish).
Once published, the pattern carries its author’s name and the same license as the rest of the site: CC BY 4.0 for the text and visuals, MIT for the demo code. By submitting it, you agree to its publication under these licenses.
